Polyester Needlefelt (Thermal Bonded)

100% Polyester with a needled graduated layer that offers depth to ensure finer filtration and good dirt holding capacity. The inert stable media has good tensile strength and high levels of filtration, making them an excellent choice for your filtration needs.

As one of the most economical disposable filter materials available, polyester needlefelt is often a popular choice – especially in bag filter and pocket filter formats. The material starts as 170g – 284g lay-on-polyester, it is then needled to a dense mat approximately 3 mm thick, making needled polyester suitable for applications that require a finer and more efficient filter.

Widely used on inclined pressure and vacuum filter systems, polyester needlefelt is best suited for low and medium viscosity liquids.

The calendared finish on the clean side reduces fibre migration and provides an excellent filter cake release. A great option for liquid filtration.
