Cellulose / Viscose

Cellulose / Viscose (Wet laid – Acrylic Binder)
Viscose media is widely used on flat bed gravity feed filter systems for the filtration of machine tool coolants, cutting and lubricating fluids in machining and metalworking processes.

This non-toxic media, although generally weak in construction is ideally suited to gravity feed filter systems for efficiently filtering out the build-up of contaminants formed from different kinds of processing. As the fluid passes through the paper media, a filter cake gradually forms forcing the coolant to rise and activate an automatic float switch. This indexes the filter paper along the honeycomb flat bed allowing the coolant to filter through the clean media. This process is repeated, ensuring clean coolant is delivered to the tank beneath the filter bed where it is finally delivered to the machine tool point of use.
Filtration ranges nominally from 10 – 55 micron dependent on the weight of the paper media.
